Tracing the wire

Expansion of the product line
Just one year later, Ernst Bracksieker began producing wire mesh and barbed wire. His passion, reliability, innovative ideas and family support enabled him to enter new markets continuously. The product line was expanded to include nails and woven wire mesh, also known as crimped mesh.
After the untimely death of Ernst Bracksieker, his son Friedrich Bracksieker took over the business at the age of just 18. Sharing the same entrepreneurial spirit as his father and uncle, Friedrich set the course for the company's future direction, which still defines Bracksieker today.
Innovation, passion, reliability! Or in other words: always wired for success!
Under Friedrich's forward-looking leadership, the focus shifted to trading and producing galvanised and black annealed wires in the form of baling wire, tying wire and patent-spooled coils – also known as rewounds. The product range was further enhanced with loop wires and quicklinks manufactured on modern, innovative machinery. The production of crimped mesh was also expanded.
Helga Eilert becomes Managing Director
In 1973, Helga Eilert, the daughter of Friedrich Bracksieker, became the company's Managing Director. With great dedication and passion, she advanced the company, expanded into international markets and extended its trading operations.
Klaus Eilert joins as Managing Director
In 1993, Klaus Eilert, son of Helga Eilert, joined the family business as Managing Director. He ensured the expansion of export and import operations and brought the production facilities up to the latest technical standards. The recycling industry, particularly in relation to paper, became increasingly significant in the wire business through the recycling of waste.
100 years of Bracksieker
In 2001, Bracksieker celebrated its 100th anniversary, with the entire workforce continuing to work towards shaping the wire industry as a reliable and innovative partner for the next 100 years.
Storage capacity expanded to 1,200 m²
The demand for baling wire for balers grew significantly. rewounds for automatic balers and loop wires for vertical balers were increasingly sought after. To ensure these materials were available to customers, the company expanded its storage capacity by approximately 1200 m² in 2011.
With dwindling resources, the focus has increasingly shifted towards sustainability. The recycling industry has become a burgeoning sector and Bracksieker contributes by producing wire that helps protect the environment – creating new products from old materials without depleting resources.
Today, Bracksieker employs around 20 highly qualified and dedicated employees.
